Internal Account Manager
Join SMI as an Internal Account Manager! Deliver outstanding account management, nurture client relationships, and work with a passionate team in our Petersfield head office!
Our Sales Team is growing and we're seeking an Internal Account Manager to joint the team at SMI. This is a proactive and customer-focused sales role central to supporting Regional Managers (RMs) or National Account Managers (NAMs) by proactively maintaining and developing relationships with order placers and depot-level contacts across our customer base.

We operate in a highly competitive market space, and our edge comes from the speed, accuracy, and quality of our responses. Delivering super-fast service is central to winning and retaining business: “Speed Kills, Speed Stuns, Speed equals success.”

- Maintaining a thorough and up-to-date knowledge of product ranges and capabilities.
- Working closely with the Category Managers when suggesting solutions especially when it comes to meeting certain safety requirements
- Supporting continuous improvement by sharing customer insights and feedback with colleagues.
- Where all inbound enquiries are fully up to date, proactively making outbound calls to current customers within set criteria (e.g., lapsed customers) to generate additional business.
